Definition
INVEST is an acronym for a widely accepted set of criteria (or checklist), that assesses the quality of a user story. Failing to meet even one criteria, may lead to the team rephrasing/rewriting the entire story. The criteria met should be:
- Independent
- Negotiable
- Valuable
- Estimable
- Small
- Testable
