WIP limits | Glossary

Definition:

One of the core properties of Kanban is that Work in Progress is limited. Limiting WIP is to match team’s development capacity. Generally, we set WIP limit per column – workflow stage. However, it is also acceptable to establish limits per person or team.

Vanity metrics | Glossary

Definition:

Vanity metrics are things like registered users, downloads, and raw pageviews. They are easily manipulated, and do not necessarily correlate to the numbers that really matter: active users, engagement, the cost of getting new customers, and ultimately revenues and profits. The latter are more actionable metrics.
