Definition
WIP (work in progress) limit is used to prevent bottlenecks and coagulation in software development. Work in progress limits are agreed upon by the development team, before the beginning of a project ,and are enforced by the Project Manager.

Vanity Metric | Glossary

Definition
Vanity metrics are  numbers intended to paint an impressive picture,as compared to Actionable metrics,that tie specific and repeatable actions,to observed results. Vanity Metrics include raw numbers,like page views,registered users of a website etc.,that produce big numbers that don’t always necessarily generate revenue.
