Definition

Engineering standards are documents/ set of specifications that detail the technical aspects of Products, Systems and Processes covered by the standards. These must be adhered to to ensure at least the minimum performance, safety and consistency standards. The more prominent sources on Engineering Standards include IEEE, ASTM and ANSI.
