If Information radiators if not used with right intention, it is very easy to get a false sense of comfort. Are you measuring your IT services using Watermelon metrics?

The state of projects shows a greenness from outside, but if you dig a bit deeper, you’ll come to realize issues which is not visible i.e indicating red from inside. The main function of Watermelon Metrics is to detect the failures.

Users need your services to work, regardless of how complex and interdependent the back end apps, servers, networking and storage. Very accurate monitoring of the components won’t resolve your watermelon problem, but the smarter monitoring systems will ensure that the metrics you measure are the ones that your users experience.The main goal of the Watermelon Metrics isn’t intended to understand the total level of errors, but to figure out how the errors will resolve.
