Incremental Development | Glossary

 

Definition

Incremental Development is favoured by almost all Agile teams. In this, each successive version of the product is usable, builds upon the last one by constantly adding to its’ user-visible functionality. These are referred to asĀ  “vertical” increments, which signify the difference between successive product versions.

Hierarchy | Glossary

 

Definition

Hierarchy forms the structure of an organization. The chain of responsibility ascends from the bottom to the top, with employees often reporting to a manager/ supervisor. Its’ importance is debated in Scrum, with several cases being against it’s inclusion in management and organizations.
