Definition
The Agile Manifesto, consists of four key values and 12 principles, to guide an iterative and people-centric approach to software development.
Origin
In 2001, seventeen software developers met at the Snowbird resort in Utah, to discuss these lightweight development methods, among whom were Jeff Sutherland, Ken Schwaber, and Alistair Cockburn. Together they published the Manifesto for Agile Software Development.
