Overview

Agile represents a paradigm shift from the traditional process-driven to a new value-driven approach to manage complex work efficiently. One of the most popular Agile practices is Scrum, a powerful framework that can be applied not only to deliver great results, but also to build a highly efficient organization. Scrum is applicable in software and other domains as well.

Attending this course will help participants understand how to use Scrum in their organizations to create the highest business values in the shortest time. This course trains you for CSM examination and enables the participants to use Scrum effectively in projects and drive them to success.

  • Introduction to the Agile Approach
  • Understand Scrum at a High-Level, it’s origin and elements
  • Learn the Scrum values and principles
  • Understand the characteristics of a Scrum team
  • Learn about the different Scrum Roles in a Scrum Team
  • Define the Scrum Artifacts
  • Understand the Scrum ceremonies - Sprint, sprint planning, daily Scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective, product backlog refinement
  • Experience the practice of delivering value incrementally and iteratively in a simulation game
  • Understand the finer aspects of implementing Scrum including Organizational impediments, common pitfalls, estimation, planning poker, velocity and release planning, progress tracking and getting the most out of Scrum
  • Learn to perform the role of Scrummaster or Scrum team member.
